UH PROFESSORS
The University of Houston is focusing on
becoming a top-tier research university, and the UH faculty are
responding. Recently, 21 UH professors were awarded more than $2.5
million in research grants through the Norman Hackerman Advanced
Research Program (ARP), ranking second only to The University of
Texas at Austin. more

NAMED C-USA FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR Former University
of Houston softball pitcher Angel Shamblin was named the 2007-08
Conference USA Female Athlete of the Year announced by League
Commissioner Britton Banowsky. The award, voted on by the league's
Directors of Athletics, is based solely on athletic achievement
during the academic year. more
