President’s Report Details
UH Accomplishments
The work of higher education can be
summed up in just a few mighty words: teaching, research, and
service, or to put it even more simply: Future Building. Embodying
this theme, the University of Houston President’s Report to the Community was released
earlier this month. The publication details the university’s
significant achievements over the past year and showcases how UH
is making a difference in Houston, in Texas, and in the world.
Within this President’s Report
to the Community, you will find stories about academic, research,
and service successes over the past year that are helping move
us closer to the future. Our faculty members are inspiring their
students to reach new academic heights, and our researchers are
creating new knowledge on the leading edge of national and international
fields. We are changing lives throughout our city in health,
education, and outreach projects that are helping to build a
future for our children and our communities.
“It brings me great pleasure to present the University of
Houston’s President’s Report to the Community—a
publication that celebrates our achievements in the field of higher
education over the past year,” said Renu Khator, UH president. “As
you will read, our most recent accomplishments underscore the notion
that the University of Houston is well on its way to becoming a
top-tier metropolitan research university.”
