Jeff Fuller
Associate Director of Admissions
 |
He’s the ultimate Cougar. Passionate about the university, Jeff Fuller (’95) has made a career and a life at UH. In recognition, the Houston Alumni Organization (HAO) recently honored him with their Outstanding Volunteer Award.
“It’s easy to get actively involved — sometimes consumed — with anything that you believe in,” said Fuller. “And since I’m passionate about UH, it’s hard not to take on more.”
As associate director of the Office of Admissions, Fuller works to increase the university’s reputation among high school students and their parents.
Even as an undergraduate, he was extremely active in many student organizations.
“When I first set foot on campus, I knew it was home,” said Fuller.
After graduation, he became actively involved with HAO’s Campus Cougars, Young Alumni, and Cougar Advocates for Texas. For the past six years, he has co-chaired Operation School Supplies, which provides supplies to thousands of children in the Greater Houston area.
Fuller served as UH Staff Council President for two terms, helping institute the university’s first tuition assistance program for staff members. He also served on the search committee that selected Chancellor and President Jay Gogue.
Beyond campus, he was elected incoming president of the Texas Association for College Admissions Counseling. He served as chair of the fiscal oversight committee of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling. Both organizations honored him with their coveted Rising Star Award. He also works with the United Way’s allocations team, Linda Lorelle Scholarship Fund, Weingarten Realty Investments Scholarship Committee, and Sigma Phi Epsilon’s Balanced Man Scholarship.
Fuller will graduate from UH again this fall with a master’s in higher education administration. |
