Houston Alumni AssociationHOUSTON ALUMNI ORGANIZATION RECLAIMS PAST NAME, ADOPTS NEW LOOK  Effective January 1, 2009, the Houston Alumni Organization will reclaim a name it used from 1957-64: The University of Houston Alumni Association. A new logo, featuring a rendering of the Ezekiel W. Cullen Building, will accompany the change.  more

Patrick EdwardsEDWARDS HAS SURGERY TO REPAIR BROKEN LEG  University of Houston freshman wide receiver Patrick Edwards underwent surgery to repair a broken leg suffered while playing Conference USA rival Marshall in Huntington, W.Va. Edwards suffered a compound fracture of his right leg midway through the third quarter during the Cougars' 37-23 loss to the Thundering Herd.  more
