ALUMNI ORGANIZATION RECLAIMS PAST NAME, ADOPTS NEW LOOK Effective
January 1, 2009, the Houston Alumni Organization will reclaim a name
it used from 1957-64: The University of Houston Alumni Association.
A new logo, featuring a rendering of the Ezekiel W. Cullen Building, will accompany

EDWARDS HAS SURGERY TO
REPAIR BROKEN LEG University of Houston freshman
wide receiver Patrick Edwards underwent surgery to repair a broken
leg suffered while playing Conference USA rival Marshall in Huntington,
W.Va. Edwards suffered a compound fracture of his right leg midway
through the third quarter during the Cougars' 37-23 loss to the
Thundering Herd. more
