Dr. Renu Khator, provost and senior vice president at the University of South Florida, a major research institution and the ninth largest university in the country, has been selected as the sole finalist for the position of University of Houston System chancellor and UH president. If approved, Khator will become the third person to hold the dual title of UH System chancellor and UH president.  more

Tye JacksonTYE JACKSON NAMED C-USA PRESEASON PLAYER
OF THE YEAR

Earlier this month, UH senior Tye Jackson was selected as the Conference USA Women's Basketball Preseason Player of the Year. Jackson is the nation's third-leading returning scorer after averaging 22.5 points per game last season. She also led the team in assists, steals and blocked shots.  more

Located only miles from NASA’s Johnson Space Center, 10 current or former astronauts have earned degrees from UH, including NASA Mission Specialist John “Danny” Olivas (M.S. ’93), who is the latest University of Houston alumnus to return from space.  more
