Thank you for giving honor to our family.

I want to take this opportunity to say
what a positive impact The University
of Houston Magazine is having on all of
us old alums. Seeing stories about the
Brezina Boys brings back fond memories!
We take great pride in the progress, the
stories of successful research at UH, along
with the quality of this magazine. It's just
superb. Everyone on the staff should be
congratulated. Go Coogs!

I just opened the latest University of Houston
Magazine and found on the last page the tribute
to Virginia Tech. Thank you. My husband, Lloyd
Poe ('72), and I have a daughter at Virginia
Tech. That day, she was on her way to class
in the building next to the building where the
shooting occurred. My daughter lost two friends.
None of it makes sense—except on a personal
level, and she goes through that building every
day to get to her classes.
Thank you for your compassion and
profound response to our tragedy.

"You chose one heck of
a family to honor. The story of how their mother
raised them, how UH and Coach Yeoman had faith
in them as well as their accomplishments are
just tremendous. As the editor of their ‘hometown
newspaper,' I just wanted to write and say thank
you for the great story on Mama Brezina and
those five super Brezina Boys who wore Cougar
red and white."

I just wanted to let you know that I read
my first University of Houston Magazine
last night, and I thoroughly enjoyed it—
great writing, great artwork/photos—very
impressive.

I just found the latest University of Houston Magazine in my inbox. I stopped everything
to read it from cover to cover. It reads and
looks beautiful! Congrats to everyone on a
great issue. I truly appreciate the hard work
it takes to put such a publication together.
This was, indeed, a labor of love—not to
mention lots of long hours! It works!

The University of Houston Magazine is
fabulous. The beautiful cover of each issue
is eye catching. It's really great to be informed
of all the news and activities happening on
campus. I'm very impressed and touched by
the articles in this magazine. I was especially
touched by "A Cougar Tribute" in support
of the Virginia Tech students. I am very
proud to be a UH graduate.

I was surprised at how professional the photography and layout was. I enjoyed
reading about historic UH football in
anticipation for another championship
season. The Brezina story was a great read.
I also enjoyed the class notes section.
Keep up the good work!

I enjoyed the cover article—a very interesting
and informative magazine. I'd like to
continue to see articles on UH history and
current event topics that relate to the 2020
growth plan.
