“The
new look of the magazine really represents how far UH has
come since I graduated. It’s very clean, contemporary,
and easy to read. I’m not one to read a magazine
from cover to cover, but the length of the articles makes
it an easy and enjoyable read. It makes me proud to be
a UH alumna! ”

I
enjoy the magazine—especially the nostalgic articles
that remind me of my student days at UH—including
the football and basketball articles!
David L. Evans (’74, O.D. ’76)
Without question, the best cover ever.

I really enjoyed the magazine. It was very good to reflect
on what it means to be an alumnus. I had been away from
Houston for seventeen years before returning to work as
an associate judge at the Family Law Center. The Houston
Alumni Organization was a way to get back into the swing
of things in Cougar Country. As a result, I’m planning
to take my family to several UH basketball games this winter.

UH is even more dynamic than I remembered!

I like reading the updates from alumni and learning about
what’s new on campus. I live in Boston and rarely
get to Houston. The magazine keeps me connected.
Karen (Garms) deKanter (’86)
I couldn’t believe how the university has
grown and changed in just the last fifteen
years. It was a real eye opener.

Reading about the history of Shasta reminded
me of my childhood and seeing Shasta run
across the football field. I was finally able
to see Shasta in her den on campus as a
student and sadly adjust to her retirement.
My children have grown to love the present
Shasta! Go Coogs!!!
