Editor's Note

From the Desk of...

I just want to tell you how much I have enjoyed The University of Houston Magazine. It really means a lot to me to be kept informed of the excitement of the campus. Great job!
                    Ron Brumfield (’71)

A VERY classy magazine… Lots of information and balanced. Love it!
                  Frederick Ramer (’56)

I think it is quite thoughtful that the university would take this approach to fire up some Cougar Pride [Hang Your Degree With Pride].
I am hoping to see a resurgence. As alumni, we have suffered greatly while other schools in a 150-mile radius seem to rack up headlines, star athletes, grants, honors, and money.
                    Kenneth Malloy (’74)

I truly enjoy The University of Houston Magazine. When I finish reading it, I either take it to our local library of the Brazoria County System or pass it to a family with a child considering college. One family, who houses a foreign student, was very impressed. The student, who is interested in a nursing or medical career, found it hard to believe what is so near her current home.

I am proud to be a University of Houston graduate and have been well served by my degrees. Thanks so much,
                  Virginia N. Petter (’68)
